Well I'm on Spring Break and thought I'd link up with Classroom Freebies to share a freebie for Earth day with you! Click the pic to grab it!
The freebie includes this planning page along with a writing page in which students will persuade others to recycle. Can be used with any of your nonfiction books about recycling, The Lorax or other Earth day themed fiction.
Some blogging buddies and I have been trying out each other's products this month and blogging about how we used them. I used many items from Mrs. Labrasciano's Spring Unit to celebrate and learn about the coming of Spring.
A parent wanted to bring in baby chicks one day, so we took the opportunity to learn about the life cycle of a chicken... What fun the kids had cutting out her graphics and gluing them to the giant egg shaped life cycle.
We also took some time out to play her "Hop To Bunny" sight word game. The kids really enjoyed this and there is a variety of differentiated games so I could give partners the right level for them to play.
Check out Amy's Spring Unit by clicking here. You won't be disappointed with the wide variety of versatile pages she has included.
These items are from:

The Oreo persuasive writing sheet is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I can't wait to send our third grade team to this link!
