Another day of teacher week with Blog Hopping and today is all about Sanity Savers!
I have a few simple things to share that have changed the way things work in my classroom... hopefully you will find some great tips along the way during this blog hop!
Here is one thing that I set up this summer that should help keep my classroom library organized this year!
I made these book labels that use Avery Labels so that I could just print them and stick them on my books! They have matching book tub labels so the students can put them back in the right place... or I can choose a responsible student to make sure they are all correct before I put the books away. If you would like to try these click here for a free sample. There is a large set of over 60 genre/theme labels and 12 monthly labels as well, click here to check it out.
Printing all of my Daily 5 materials for the entire month using my Daily 5 Packets saves me so much worry throughout the month! I have writing prompts, creative writing, "list 10" options, and a monthly journal all prepped for my writing center.
Word work for the month is also included in the daily 5 packets. These include making words, rainbow writing, and ransom letters.
Graphic organizers are also included to use for Read to Self, Listen to Reading, and Read with Someone.
This little bottle of germ-ex with a QR code is one of my biggest sanity savers! Students scan this and type their name into the form, then go the bathroom! This creates a running spreadsheet for me to track frequent bathroom trips.... and minimizes the distractions for me!
