Fall is in the Air... A New Freebie to Share!

I'm so excited that fall is here, it is my favorite time of year! I love the smells, the crisp air, the crunching sounds as we walk through the woods... it's an amazing, beautiful time. I have put together a new unit to help my students understand why leaves change color in the fall, and I'm giving all of you a freebie sample from the unit to introduce your students to the science behind the color changes.

The freebie includes a close read to answer the question "Why Do Leaves Change Color?"
A reading response is included to check for comprehension.
This cause and effect chart will help students develop an even better understanding of why leaves change color and they will enjoy the graphics that they get to color when they finish.

If you want more activities to help students understand this topic, click here for the full packet that includes 2 science experiments with observation recording sheets, interactive notebook inserts, fact and opinion sort, vocabulary practice and more.

Thanks for checking out my blog... be sure to follow me to enjoy more tips and freebies! :)
