Spring is almost here and it is such a fun time to teach about all things spring!!! I am sooooo looking forward to leaving the cold, grey, dreary winter days behind! I am linking up with Paula at Paula's Place for Storybook Sunday and with Amanda at Teaching Maddeness for Must Read Monday.
This week we will be studying birds with one of my favorite, simple picture books by one of my favorite authors... Feathers for Lunch by Lois Ehlert. I'm not sure what it is I love about her, just the simplicity I suppose... she seems to invite the imagination to add to the story!
I found the cutest video of an older couple singing and reading this book to some preschoolers at a public library... check it out!
My newest packet on TpT goes with this story along with more bird books.
I select the books for my units from Reading Rockets Themed Booklists to ensure I am using the highest quality literature, they usually match my favorites!
